Else and Peter's Hackney Wedding

Else and Peter are both creative types so I knew their London wedding day was going to be a visual treat. A ceremony at the classic Hackney Town Hall with a London bus to ferry guests to a unique space for a memorable reception. The pumping station at the West Reservoir Centre, a 1930s red brick tower, is a fantastic venue to shoot in, Industrial, spacious and overlooking this unexpected lake in the centre of London. Vast ceilings and original pipes, ironworks and metal dials all just add to the atmosphere and drama. Else and Peter had beautifully decorated the space with long trestle tables, beautiful flowers and mini concrete pots filled with various cacti. The tapas style catering gave that sense of stumbling into an rustic Spanish bar.

The West Reservoir centre doubles up as a sailing centre, so I couldn't resist nipping out with the happy couple for some portraits amongst the upturned boats and kayaks on the water's edge. Oh and did I mention about the 2 pugs on the steps of Hackney Town Hall.
